So Very Disappointed

On Friday I got the new iPhone 3G S. That’s not what I’m disappointed about though. On my $299.00 phone I payed $64.66 in tax. Yes CA tax at 9.25% on $299.00 is $64.66. Okay, so if you’re any good at math, you’ll know right away that $64.66 isn’t 9.25% tax for $299.00. Well because I live is one of the worst states to live in (in a being governed way) I had to pay tax on the bit I didn’t pay for. Yeah doesn’t work out in my mind either.

It seems more and more that CA robs, hustles, steels, or takes by some sneaky method as much money from me as they can get. What do I get for this extra coinage I’m putting into CA very tattered pocket, you might ask? Well for starters I get my federal rights violated. But it’s okay in their mind because they also break federal laws in your benefit too…like the card that lets you legally have weed in CA, but if the FBI stops you, you can still get arrested. Also, I have the “Law Enforcement Officers” (I use the quotes because the only laws they enforce are the ones CA can get money for) following me, stopping me, hassling me, and ticketing me (yes even when I didn’t break the law) as much as possible. I get less and less freedom every day. There are many other things, but I think you get my point.

Basically CA is like the homeless person that follows you begging for money, and once he/she gets money, he/she goes and buys drugs then wonders why he/she doesn’t have money any more. I personally think it’s time for an intervention on CA. But I think it’ll have to be in the form of a revolution. I know some will say just move, but I’m an American damn it! It’s my right as a citizen to make this government right! I want to turn this back to a free place to live, not this socialist police state I currently live in. CA has some beautiful land, there’s mountains right next to the beach, nice roads, and it’s big enough that you don’t have to leave it to take a vacation. I would rather make this place right, than to just move.
